I'll be your mirror

Damn fine dream.
It was Star Wars, but with cellphones instead of those stupid hologram thingies.  Endtimes, "caller ID blocked" type drama.  Protagonist "young Luke" grapples with the Vader.  Pragmatist "dynasty Solo" aids the light by tossing a special Xray mirror to him.  Showing Vader his true pockmarked green reptilian face, gives light a hand up.  Now we see the mirror is not just Xray, but two sided, in the sense that Luke finds himself looking at his true pockmarked Emperor self.

StrTrkTNG ScreenCapsDUMP

The first time I watched STTNG was when it came out, in my teens.  Last year I completed a second run of the whole thing, also exposing some to my baby.

I could write a whole blog about international politics as seen on the bridge of a galaxy class starship.  Instead, I present a few choice screen caps.  I will resist the urge to caption them, instead giving a general statement:

You no doubt will recognize these characters.  Also recognize what they are saying, and that captions on netflix for this popular sci-fi show were provided by the US Dept of Education!  Also, that the "Picard Chain" became an inspiration for a whole new class of successful warrior-statesmen in the contemporary (21st) century american military.

Using that in a workshop, but
look out for DEER ORGANS!

Osage Orange Proposal

Hi. It's Peter, I got one of your persimmon trees this morning at the pharmer's market. Thanks! About the Osage Orange, the attached pictures show an electronic sound organ that I make with that wood. Let me explain: because it is a bow wood, it is very flexible. I use thin wooden bars as flex sensors by mounting a transducer beneath. I also have a guy, up in the woods who is an artisan of the sawe, and can slice such hard pieces up, as long as they are four feet in length. Thus I propose to donate one of these organs to the city in return for a billet of the proper length to make it with. First though I would like to see the tree with you, can we do Tuesday still? I have a chainsaw and a baby.  PB

Synthesizer: CQPB

What you see here is one big synthesizer, namely the Cocoquantus by CiatLonbarde, and the Plumbutter also by CiatLonbarde, in one long case together for drum machine manging. It is shown, being tested by Kiri in striped pants, with banana cords.
